What English level should I have for this course?
The course is designed for the minimum level of B1.
Who is the course best for?
The course is best for:
- teachers of English, for stronger confidence in their own sounds creation and pronunciation, and for more professional pronunciation teaching to their own students;
- English learners and students, especially from linguistic faculties who are interested in phonetics;
- users of English - business people, financiers, politicians, business owners, IT specialists, actors, singers etc. If you often need confident communication in English at work, with your colleagues or partners, especially foreigners, at conferences, negotiations, meetings, during your trips abroad etc.;
What does each rate offer?
Tetiana has developed THREE versions of the course:
BASIC:
If you are a confident self-learner and are able to go through all the materials on your own without my help. This rate includes:
1. All the materials and video lessons
2. Tests between modules
3. Access to the materials for 6 months
STANDARD:
If you can work independently, but would still like to have some guidance and feedback from me. This rate includes:
1. All the materials and video lessons
2. Tests between modules
3. Access to the materials for 6 months
4. Complex pronunciation diagnostic with a detailed written recommendations report
5. 2 individual meetings with me (time and days are to be determined separately, meetings must take place within not more than 3 months from the course purchase date)
PREMIUM:
The most profound version of the course with the limited seats. You receive regular feedback from me on a daily basis throughout the course.This rate includes:
1. All the materials and video lessons
2. Tests between modules
3. Access to the materials for 6 months
4. A fixed schedule: 10 weeks, start March 7, final meeting May 9.
5. Weekly online meetings (60-90 min) on Thursdays in a closed Telegram/WhatsApp group: at 12:30 or at 19:30 (Kyiv time). Up to 6 persons per group.
6. Complex diagnostic of your pronunciation with a detailed written report and recommendations twice per course: at the beginning and closer to the end (to see your progress).
7. Daily tasks, their thorough analysis and feedback from me to each of your audio recordings (I analyse each sound!)
8. My constant support in chat, a chance to consult and seek guidance.
9. Certificate of the course completion (provided you work regularly, visit all live meetings and complete all the tasks).
What does Tetiana’s individual chat feedback include?
The course comprises materials for every day work, ideally you will need to record and send Tetiana your audio tasks daily. Tetiana will check everything and provide you with her feedback, advice and guidance for each recording, she will be available in the group chat during work days for any questions or advice re your pronunciation.
Do I have to do each task from the course?
Ideally yes (and if you’re planning to receive a course completion certificate - then definitely a yes! :) ). If you would like to feel confident in your British pronunciation and while speaking, I suggest you complete all the tasks I’m giving at the course. However, no worries: you can split the task into shorter parts; and if you have no troubles with certain sounds you can just move on to the more complicated ones.
How much time do I need to devote to the course per day/week?
Whichever course rate you choose, the materials on the platform are enough for you to work intensively for at least 10 weeks. The materials are available for 6 months. If you went for Basic or Standard rate, you can choose to work in your tempo, but I strongly recommend to exercise 25-30 minutes (preferably) on a daily basis (this way you will create better pronunciation habits). Please bear in mind the time limits for arranging personal consultations and diagnostics covered by Standard rate.
The Premium rate study lasts 10 weeks, offers a start and a finish date, and has 10 online group meetings once per week on Thursdays. Duration 60-90 mins (duration can change depending on the theme). If you miss the meeting, the recording might be possible provided a prior request is given and other participants’ approval is given.
I strongly recommend and encourage you to work on your pronunciation on a daily or regular basis for at least 25-30 minutes.
Can I start speaking like a native after the course?
This depends on many factors, including (but not limited to) your current English level, ability to hear the language, how hard and regularly you work throughout the course and also after its completion. Pronunciation change and improvement is a lengthy process, one can change old incorrect pronunciation habits within 21 days, or even create new ones, but you need time and practice to permanently fix them. What will definitely improve - your own pronunciation, ability to hear and comprehend natives better. Tetiana is giving you all the necessary instruments, to use them fully is up to you.
How can I get a course completion Certificate?
Certificate of course completion can be obtained at the end of the course (Premium rate only) provided you have gone through all the materials, completed all the tasks and attended all live meetings.
